50 years of fine. This year has been the best year for class reunions for us. We started with the Lorimor all school reunion on memorial day 2010 held at the Lorimor Community Center. This was the 50th anniversary for the class of 1960 which was Jerry's class. Mary Fitch, John Swab, John Grandfield and more so it was so much fun to get their phone calls from all over the USA. Jack was the president of the alumni assoc. this year.
Then The Thayer Alumni had their banquet in June the same day as the East dUnion 50 years of Fine. We chose to go to the Thayer banquet held at the Lorimor Community Center. Jack and I sat at the table with Dorothy Ann, Mom, Gary, Loretta and saw all the classic alumni like Jack Quee, Gary's class like Gary Bailey etc. It was fun too. Later in the evening Terry McDowell called Jack on his cell phone to say Glenn Norris, Terry Alderson, Craig Wearmouth and spouses were coming to Murphy's in Lorimor from the EU 50 years of Fine in "Afton. So we walked from the Lorimor Community Center to Murphy's and what a night that was. In this picture Terry Alderson (left) sitting beside Terry McDowell is talking with Jack. At the end of the table is George Norris, Linda and Jerry Huggman, Bonnie, several others from the Thayer Banquet came over too. I saw people I hadn't seen for 50 years. It was the best year for alumni. Everyone is the same as they were in high school and I mean fr om Thayer, Lorimor, Afton, etc. We went to the Pre 4th celebration in Afton the next day and saw more including Mary Hill who it's always good to see her.
Today is July 13 and Carol Jean, Melodie plus her 2 daughters, Ally & Dorothy Ann, Sol and his friend are here for a few days. They are going to the swimming pool this aftrnoon so I will go visit Mom to see if she's doing ok. Catch you all later.
